Germany has issued the first arrest warrant in the Nord Stream gas pipeline bombing case. The wanted person is Ukrainian Volodymyr Z., who recently visited Poland and has now returned to Ukraine.
According to the media, two more Ukrainian citizens, including a woman, are also suspected of committing sabotage.
The article notes that a white van, presumably used to transport diving equipment, provided significant assistance in tracking down the suspects. The driver of that vehicle confirmed that one of its passengers, who was later identified from photographs, was a wanted Ukrainian, Tagesschau reported.
In July, the German government said the investigation into the Nord Stream bombings was hampered by the lack of specific suspects, a response to a request from Bundestag deputies.
