Heavy rains have caused flooding in the Turkish resort city of Antalya, leading to the suspension of educational process in some parts of the region.
According to local newspaper Ekonomim, the bad weather started in the evening in the centre of Antalya and intensified during the night. Heavy rainfall caused deep puddles on the roads, making it difficult for locals and vehicles to get around. In rural areas, flooding of homes and workplaces occurred in some neighbourhoods. The flooding also disrupted transport services in some parts of the city.
The Antalya governor's office notes that the region is currently experiencing unfavourable weather conditions. An official statement said the temporary suspension of the educational process in five central districts of Aksu, Deshemealti, Kepez, Konyaalti and Muratpaşa.
Earlier, three teenagers and five men fought near a shopping mall in St. Petersburg, and the person who ordered the murder of Troitsk businessman Spiridonov was sent to a pre-trial detention centre until 11 April.
