The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has banned 12 new anabolics and psychostimulants, with criminal penalties for their illicit trafficking.
The Russian government has added 12 new anabolics and psychostimulants to the list of highly potent substances, the illegal trafficking of which may lead to criminal liability. The corresponding decree was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Seven anabolic steroids (atamestan, androstenedione, 6alpha-methyl-androst-4-ene-3,17-dione, testolactone, trendione, formestan and chlormetilandrostenediol) and four psychostimulants (arecoline, DMBA, octodrine and 2-phenylpropan-1-amine) were added to the list.
A growth hormone fragment, HGH Frag 176-191, was also banned.
The above products are new types of illegally synthesised anabolics and psycho-stimulants contained in dietary supplements and pre-training complexes. Such supplements are actively marketed on specialised websites and social media.
