Incidents have been reported in several regions of the country, including Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod Region and Kazan, where patients have come to doctors with symptoms of the disease. According to preliminary data, the cause of the poisoning was the consumption of canned beans and salad with tuna, beans and apple.

Anna Popova noted that the incident was a mass one, affecting more than four hundred people and claimed the lives of two people. She emphasized that the source of infection was precisely the beans purchased abroad, which contained botulism bacteria.

Earlier in the Novosibirsk region removed from sale 1.5 tons of adulterated dairy products, as well as Rospotrebnadzor experts named the most common symptoms of allergies.
