Six Gulf countries have decided to introduce a common tourist visa, thus allowing free movement between them.
According to Arabian Business, it is now known that the interior ministers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain have alreaady approved the concept of an "Arab Schengen".
The changes were announced during the 40th Gulf Cooperation Council Interior Ministers' Meeting in Muscat.
It is planned to start issuing a single visa as early as 2024.
