The Russian Parliament will consider a bill to introduce preferential treatment for certain categories of Russians when importing cars from abroad.
According to Izvestia, if the State Duma approves the bill on preferential treatment of imported cars from abroad for some Russians, the order of customs clearance of cars will come into force on January 1 next year.
The text of the draft notes that after the car is put into circulation the customs duties paid during the declaration are overpaid. The authors of the initiative believe that they are subject to reimbursement from the federal budget.
It is assumed that the benefits could be given to parents or guardians of large families, as well as veterans of combat operations. However, preferential customs clearance will be available only for one time.
