Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved a law which introduces a monthly supplement for pensioners and disabled persons of group I over the age of 80. The bill was published on the website of the official publication of legal acts. According to the document, the amount of the supplement is set at 1,200 rubles, with annual indexation.
The allowance is intended for pensioners and disabled persons who are cared for by their parents or guardians. The exception is disabled persons of the first group from childhood, for whom this supplement is not provided. If a citizen receives two pensions, the supplement will be added only to one of them.
Under the new law, disabled persons of the first group from childhood will receive regular monetary assistance instead of a pension. In addition, for citizens living in the Far North, there is an allowance that will increase in accordance with the established coefficient and indexed on a regular basis.
Earlier Putin signed a law toughening the punishment for drug propaganda. The Russian leader also approved the possibility to recognize as undesirable any associations whose founders or members are state bodies of another country.
