The Global Study on Drugs and Alcohol found that Australians are the most drinking nation in the world.
According to the Daily Mail, Australians were drunk an average of 27 times in 2021. That's twice the global average. The survey showed that Australians consume beer, wine or other beverages on average two days a week.
Denmark is in second place in terms of the amount of alcohol consumed, and Finland is in third. Residents of the United Kingdom and the United States are also recognized as some of the most drinkers in the world, closing the top five and occupying the 4th and 5th lines of the list of countries, respectively.
The Irish are the most depressed about the amount of alcohol they drink. But in terms of frequency of alcohol consumption, France was in the lead - they drank alcohol at least 132 days a year. New Zealand came second with 120 days, followed by the Netherlands with 112 days.
