Nokia has received at least one of four permits to export equipment to Russia. This was reported by MegaFon CEO Khachatur Pombuchchan in a conversation with RBC.

He said the Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer, being a responsible supplier, has addressed two European regulators and two American ones with a request to allow the supply of equipment to Russia in order to fulfill its contractual obligations. According to the head of MegaFon, one of the appeals has already been satisfied.

"This is a commercial company, which considered it possible to reach an agreement and fulfill its obligations. Ericsson, for example, did not consider it necessary," - said Pombuchchan, adding that the companies and relationships will remain even after the current situation in the world has changed.

It is specified that the matter concerns the supply of spares, necessary to maintain the network for three years. The head of MegaFon himself believes that the existing equipment will not reach the end of its service life in five to seven years.
