Three explosions occurred in Energodar in Zaporizhzhia region. According to preliminary reports, the air defense system went off.

On Monday, September 5, in the early morning hours in Energodar, Zaporizhzhia region, three strong explosions occurred. According to preliminary reports, anti-aircraft defense systems went off, as reported by a TASS correspondent.

The situation on the town's streets is calm at the moment, but a curfew is in effect.

Information on injuries and casualties is currently being clarified.

Energodar, which is home to Europe's largest Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, is under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Ukrainian military is using artillery, MLRS and UAVs. They have also twice attempted to land paratroopers near Energodar. One of the attempts, according to the Russian Defense Ministry, was aimed at capturing the plant before a visit of an IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) mission.
