The southern regions of Russia will be hit by an abnormal heat wave. This is reported by the Hydrometeorological Center of the North Caucasus region.
According to the forecast, as early as August 5-6, the thermometer in Krasnodar Krai will show 39 degrees Celsius. In Astrakhan, Volgograd and Rostov regions the temperature is expected to be even higher - up to 40-42 degrees Celsius. In Kalmykia, the heat is expected to reach 43 degrees Celsius.
All Black Sea coast will be covered with heat up to 37 degrees Celsius. In Sochi it is expected to be 27-32 degrees above zero.
Rescuers recommend to be careful, especially people with cardiovascular diseases, not to leave air-conditioned rooms in the daytime hours, drink more fluids and refuse alcohol.
