Plants that have stopped operating due to gas shortages could declare bankruptcy, and the upcoming winter season will be a serious test for Britain.
"The announcement is likely to heighten fears of scheduled blackouts because the United Kingdom relies on gas-fired power plants for the largest share of its electricity supply," the Times wrote.
