Rosaviatsia reported about the introduction of restrictions on flights at Kazan airport. This information was relayed by the Telegram channel of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.
According to the report, the measures were introduced to ensure safety. Flights bound for Kazan were diverted to alternate airfields in Ulyanovsk, Samara, Cheboksary, Ufa and Moscow's Vnukovo airport.
Before that, on May 23 and May 31, residents of Tatarstan spotted airplane-type drones in the sky. According to Telegram channel Mash, Kazan could have been attacked by long-range drones “Lyuty”. In this regard, for the safety of flights temporarily closed the airports of Kazan and Nizhnekamsk. Later the restrictions were lifted.
Also, from July 1, it will be possible to take a direct flight from Kazan to Nizhnevartovsk.
