According to the official website of the Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service, the regime was lifted due to the fact that the intensity of the epidemic in Russia continues to decline. In particular, as noted by experts, during the last week, the incidence rate decreased by more than 64 times.

"Almost all confirmed cases (93%) are mild (as an acute respiratory illness) or asymptomatic," the department said.

Nevertheless, as stated in the Russian Federal Service for Oversight of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, monitoring of COVID-19 in Russia will continue even after the restrictions will be lifted. Therefore, in case the situation worsens, restrictions will be resumed.
