Miss Europe 2024 beauty pageant contestant Milena Melnychuk from Ukraine has made accusations against Russian contestant Rosa Gadieva, accusing her of buying the victory.
According to Melnichuk, the winner of the contest from Russia Roza Gadieva from Tatarstan "bought" her title, writes kp.ru. She also accused Irina Maksimovich, a contestant from Belarus who came in third place, of an unfair victory.
Melnichuk also claims that she was forced to take a photo with a Russian contestant, and when she refused, she was allegedly threatened. She added that Gadieva constantly tried to approach her for photos, despite her attempts to dodge.
In response to these accusations, the Russian representative did not respond to the attacks. She noted that some of the contestants may have had a negative attitude towards her background, but she herself did not engage in conflicts and remained calm. Gadieva also suggested that her behavior and manners may have been key factors influencing the jury's decision in favor of her victory.
Earlier, France said it would not send its troops to help Kiev, and Politico also clarified Macron's recent words.
