The artist has been fighting lung cancer since 2013. She told about it in an interview with Katerina Gordeeva.
Evgenia Simonova noted that the growth of the neoplasm began due to a neglected disease. She literally suffered pneumonia on her legs. Later, she was diagnosed with a neoplasm.
In 2013, the actress went under the knife of a surgeon who found the tumor.
“The surgeon also thought that it could be an inflammatory neoplasm. And only when they opened and took a biopsy from there, the results showed oncology. Then, instead of some part, he removed the entire lower lobe of my right lung, ”she added.
At the same time, Evgenia Simonova says that she is not afraid of death.
“I cannot say that I am ready to die tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. But if they say that it is necessary, I can accept it, because I am grateful. I have lived like this for 66 years! ”- concluded the celebrity.
