A few years ago, Matthew Perry was on the verge of death because of severe addictions to alcohol and drugs. The actor told what happened to him.
"Friends" star Matthew Perry, 53, revealed that he became addicted to opioids four years ago and ended up rupturing his colon. The actor spent two weeks in a coma afterwards.
"The doctors told my family I had a 2 percent chance of survival. I was hooked up to an ECMO machine, which works in place of my heart and lungs," Perry noted.
The celebrity then walked around with a colostomy bag for nine.
After his recovery, Matthew quit using oxycodone. The doctor frightened the actor that if he continued taking illegal substances, he would be walking around with a colostomy bag for the rest of his life.
"And the little window opened up, and I got through it, and I don't need the oxycodone anymore," Perry confessed.
