Hyundai has revealed details about the equipment of its most affordable crossover for the Indian market, the Hyundai Exter. Despite its budget status, the car has an impressive array of features and capabilities. Interior images show that the Exter will be equipped with a digital dashboard, though small, but still with a digital display. The car will also have a voice-activated multimedia system with over-the-air updates, and the front fascia will feature stylishly embossed trim with bright accents. The Exter will be the most affordable Hyundai crossover on the Indian market and can already be ordered with a deposit of just Rs. 11,000 (10,500 rubles).

The price of the model has not yet been announced, but Hyundai promises it will be about 20 percent lower than the price of the updated Venue model, whose starting price is Rs 750,000 (about 710,000 rubles). The Exter will be equipped with a 1.2-liter gasoline engine rated at 83 horsepower paired with a manual transmission or a robot transmission. An offer with a 1.0-liter turbo engine is also expected in the future.

According to new information provided by Autocar India, the Exter's interior will feature a 4.2-inch virtual dashboard and the multimedia system will have an eight-inch screen. The interior will be finished in black with green accents. In addition, the equipment list will include a built-in DVR with two cameras and cruise control.

The Exter crossover should go on sale in mid-summer at a price of around 600,000 rupees (a little over 600,000 rubles). It is not yet known whether Hyundai plans to export the Exter outside of India.
