TV presenter Nick Owen has spoken about his battle with prostate cancer. He found out about the cancer recently.
The Midland Today news anchor shared that he learned his diagnosis thanks to his GP who referred him to a doctor.
"My GP insisted I go to a specialist just to be calm. He saved my life," the 75-year-old presenter told the BBC.
The TV presenter underwent tests. When examining them, the GP found proteins with certain markers, which could indicate cancer. Nick then underwent additional tests and the diagnosis was confirmed, doctors found Owen prostate cancer.
In the process of treatment, the man had his prostate gland removed. Now the TV presenter undergoes long-term therapy. After that Nick plans to return to the air.
Recall, oncologist Koposov recommended that Russians over 45 years of age should be examined daily by doctors.
