The artist asked the public for time to mourn his loss.
The 79-year-old American actor Robert De Niro urged the public not to disturb his family in hopes of learning the cause of death of his 19-year-old grandson Leandro.
Recall that on July 3, his mother Drena, the television star's adopted daughter from actress Dianne Abbott, announced the 19-year-old's death in her blog.
Robert De Niro reached out to the public and the press, asking them not to be disturbed at this sad time in his life.
"I am deeply saddened by the death of my beloved grandson. Our family appreciates the condolences. However, we ask not to be disturbed to mourn the loss," ET quoted the artist as saying.
Celebrities have offered their condolences, including Lenny Kravitz, Naomi Campbell, Andy Cohen and others.
We should note that the cause of Leandro's death is still unknown.
