Experts from the University of Edinburgh conducted a study involving more than 300 volunteers, and revealed a curious pattern between music lessons and human cognitive abilities.
Scientists reported that the mental abilities of 117 of the subjects who played musical instruments in childhood or adolescence were significantly higher than those of the other participants in the experiment.
The researchers concluded that the connection between playing musical instruments and an increase in thinking ability, although it is not yet possible to claim unqualified effectiveness, but it is noteworthy. Because, according to the authors of the experiment, even small nuances are important, which in the future will help to identify patterns of healthy aging of the brain.
