The Matterhorn mountain in the Alps, whose height is 4478 meters, is in motion, gently swaying back and forth every two seconds, scientists from the Technical University of Munich have revealed. An article on this topic was published by the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters.

It is noted that "wiggle" stimulates seismic energy emanating from the world's oceans, earthquakes, as well as human activity.

The study says that people do not feel these vibrations, but special devices record them. As it turned out, at the top, the movement intensifies approximately 14 times. The researchers emphasize that the Matterhorn is not a unique mountain, they suggest that many mountains will wobble in a similar manner.
