Phthalates found in world famous fast food restaurants

Phthalates, which are harmful to humans, have been found in burgers and fries from a well-known chain of fast food restaurants.

Phthalates are synthetic substances that are harmful to human health. They were found in containers used to take food out of establishments. Phthalates can also be found in restaurant products.

Phthalate is a type of plasticizer that gives the material flexibility. The results of early studies showed that it is detrimental to the human endocrine system and interferes with the production of testosterone and estrogen.

Experts collected a total of 64 food samples from six different fast-food restaurants to study. DnBP (di-n-butyl phthalate) was found in 81% of the dishes, and another 70% of the dishes contained DEHP (di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate).
