According to experts from Australia, after analyzing the data collected over several years, scientists have found that coffee drinkers have a lower risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Also, people who drink coffee are less prone to changes in the brain areas responsible for attention, self-control and planning, reports RIA Novosti.

In Alzheimer's disease, amyloids stick together, forming toxic plaques that are harmful to the brain. In coffee drinkers, plaque formation is slower. This study did not determine the exact daily dose of the drink, but experts noted that two cups of coffee daily would not harm your health.

Scientists are still working on this topic, as it is not known exactly what has this effect, the caffeine itself or other substances contained in the drink. Previous studies have shown that untreated caffeine helps prevent memory impairment in rodents.
