Scientists reduced sensor testing time

An international team of scientists, including specialists from Russia, has developed a technology that reduces the testing time of industrial equipment from weeks to hours. The method combines engineering modeling with machine learning algorithms, providing high accuracy at radical acceleration of calculations. The development has already attracted the attention of energy, petrochemical and climate system manufacturers.

A team of scientists from Russia and other countries has proposed a new method of modeling heat transfer in nanofluids, which allows reducing the testing time of devices developed for industry from several weeks to several hours. This was reported by TASS in the press service of South Ural State University (UUrGU).

There explained that traditional methods of CFD-modeling require huge computing power, with them modeling heat exchange, for example, in the developed industrial heat exchanger can take at least two or four weeks. Innovative models, proposed by a team of scientists, allow to obtain similar data literally in the hours and with minimal costs.

Previously, it was written that the Earth will be hot as the Sun. In addition, Russian scientists made a discovery in PET-diagnostics.
