Russia is going to send complex with crew of four people to moon

According to the data appeared on the public procurement website, Russia is going to send takeoff and landing systems with people to the moon. The crew will include four people.

It is planned to deliver the lunar takeoff and landing complex using a super-heavy rocket and booster, according to Roscosmos. To do this, it is necessary to issue a scientific and technical response to the lunar takeoff and landing complex, according to which the crew should be four people, and the flight duration should be at least 14 days.

It is assumed that the delivery of the lunar complex will be carried out using the Yenisei super-heavy rocket. 1.5 billion rubles were allocated for the development of the technical project, which will be spent only from 2020 to 2021.

The decree on the creation of the Yenisei rocket was issued in 2018 by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The first launch is planned to be carried out in 2028. The complex will be built at the Vostochny cosmodrome.

Japan is also going to begin the development of the moon. In the fall of 2021, they will start the selection of astronauts, who will go to the natural satellite of the Earth on the space craft Artemis-3 in 2024.
