Researchers have tried to find out how the decision-making process is shaped.
Scientists are trying to find out how a person makes decisions. For this purpose, specialists from the International Laboratory of Social Neurobiology at the National Research University Higher School of Economics conducted a study involving volunteers.
The results of the work showed that at the subconscious level, a decision is made eight seconds earlier than a person realizes it.
As a result, the scientists concluded that there are two systems of decision-making. The first is emotional. It is caused by faster work and rapid processing of information. True, it often leads to irrational decisions.
The second system is rational. It works more slowly, but at the same time allows you to control the decisions made.
According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, this data can then be used in business and politics to, for example, predict sales and election results. Moreover, according to scientists, AI can be involved, so that neural networks can predict human behavior.
Earlier, scientists said that the frontal temporal dementia revealed a side effect in the form of enhanced creativity.
