NASA intends to launch an expedition around the moon at the end of 2024.
In 2022, a test flight around the Earth's natural satellite was conducted without a crew on board. At that time, it was discovered that the hull was burned and the heat shield material was lost.
The next phase of the Artemis mission may be postponed from late 2025 to 2026, as NASA is not confident that SpaceX will be able to build the SapceX Starship in time.
