Previously, cancer was thought to be a disease of the elderly. In recent years, however, doctors have sounded the alarm: cancer has begun to grow younger and is now affecting the younger generation.

Scientists from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have tried to find out what this is due to.

At the American Association for Cancer Research conference, scientists described the link between accelerated biological aging and increased cancer risk in younger people.

Specifically, the greatest association was seen between lung, stomach and colon, and uterine cancer with biological age.

The risk of facing these diagnoses was higher in people with accelerated biological aging by an average of 42%, 22%, and 36%, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that in recent years in Russia, oncologists in Russia have increasingly recorded laryngeal cancer among young people whose age does not exceed the 40-year mark. And scientists have found out how vaping affects healthy cells in the body. An experimentinvolving 32 people showed that just 30 minutes of vaping quadruples oxidative stress.
