A scientific team from the National Technical University of Singapore has created a new way to non-invasively measure glucose levels in the body. Now blood sugar can be recognized with the help of a special patch that analyzes the sweat secreted by a person.

The new development is equipped with a special sensor that is able to detect various biomarkers in sweat, among them not only glucose, but also lactate and urea. Above all, this technology is aimed at meeting the needs of diabetics to constantly measure blood sugar levels.

The device will only take a few minutes to perform these tests, and there will be no need to pierce the skin to get a drop of blood. This will not only make life easier for diabetics, but also for people with other chronic conditions.

It was previously reported that the latest scientific evidence suggests that bacteria and viruses in the gut may affect the likelihood of developing diabetes.

The nutritionist told what products diabetics need to make up their diet.
