Russian scientists have found out how dietary buckwheat affects life expectancy. The experiment was conducted by scientists from Siberian Federal University.

According to the work published on the portal of the university, this cereal can increase life expectancy by affecting the activity of the hormone sirtuin, which is responsible for longevity. However, so far the experiment has been conducted only on mice. But the result obtained prompted the scientists to think about the need to continue the experiments on humans.

This will make it possible to create new nutritional approaches, explained Valentina Kratasyuk, professor of the Institute of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology at SFU.
