American scientists proved the benefit of physical activity in cancer prevention

Researchers said that regular physical activity in certain amounts can significantly reduce the risk of several cancers, including colon, breast, endometrial, kidney, liver, melanoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

According to specialists from the US National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society and the Harvard School of Public Health, regular physical activity can reduce the likelihood of developing seven types of cancer.

This is evidenced by studies involving more than 750 thousand people, reports JAMA Oncology.

In particular, physical activity with moderate intensity for 2.5-5 hours per week reduces the likelihood of colon cancer, breast cancer, endometrium, kidney, liver, melanoma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The same effect of 1.25-2.5 hours of vigorous sports per week has the same effect on the body.

Among other things, regular physical activity reduces the likelihood of heart problems, obesity, diabetes, the scientists noted.
