Harvard scientists find that milk and yogurt protect against diabetes

To reduce the risk of diabetes, it is necessary to include milk and yogurt in the diet. This is the conclusion reached by scientists from Harvard University and Federico II University of Naples. Their scientific work was published in Diabetes Care.

The results of their study showed that 200 grams of milk can reduce the risk of diabetes by 10%, and dairy products in general - by 5%.

Yogurt and low-fat dairy products reduce the likelihood of diabetes by 6% and 3%, respectively. In contrast, fat and fatty dairy products have no effect on the likelihood of getting the disease, scientists say.
