St. Petersburg will allow to show vaccination certificates instead of QR codes

In the Northern capital besides QR-codes while visiting public places paper vaccination certificates will also be accepted.

Alexander Sitov, first deputy chairman of the committee on industrial policy, innovations and trade, said at a meeting on coronavirus restrictions that in St. Petersburg when entering public places it will be possible to show not only QR codes, but also paper certificates of vaccination.

“Now we are developing a special mechanism for people over 65 years old - we understand that they often do not have an account on the Gosuslugi portal or the opportunity to get one,” Sitov said.

The same mechanism will be developed for foreigners vaccinated with the Sputnik Light vaccine.

The official assured that this issue will be resolved in the near future.
