A service dog in St. Petersburg found drugs worth 45 million rubles in the cabin of a ship from South Africa

In St. Petersburg, during customs inspection drugs were found in the cabin of a ship carrying fruit from South Africa.

The service dog Athena reacted to one of the bedside tables. Customs officers opened the box and found there tightly packed rolls containing compressed white powder.

Experts later determined that the briquettes contained drugs weighing 3 kilograms.

Such a batch costs about 45 million rubles on the market.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of smuggling on a particularly large scale.
