The decision is related to the need for security. The committee recalled that from 7 May in the city there are restrictions for small vessels, which will remain until the end of the navigation season. The corresponding ban, which includes jet skis and motor boats, is approved by the order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and a decision of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of Saint Petersburg.

Restrictions apply to the areas of Neva between the Big Obukhovsky and Annunciation bridges, Small Neva, Big Neva and Little Neva, as well as Fontanka, Moika, Griboedov canal, Kryukov canal, Winter rope and Kronwerck strait.

The offenders are fined: from 3 to 10 thousand rubles for citizens, from 20 to 30 thousand rubles for officials and from 50 to 100 thousand rubles for organizations. According to the information of the committee, these measures are aimed at improving the level of safety of navigation and countering potential terrorist threats. The full list of restrictions is posted on official platforms of the department, transmitted by «Moyca78».
