February warmth will melt the ice in St. Petersburg, and by the weekend the sun will come out.
During the working week, the weather in St. Petersburg will not change much. The average daily temperature will remain above zero and in the daytime hours will fluctuate within one to five degrees. This was told by the chief forecaster of the city Alexander Kolesov.
In the first half of the week there will be light rains. In the second half of the week, the anticyclone will bring increased pressure and stop precipitation. By the weekend the sun will peep through. In general, Kolesov called the established weather monotonous, and wrote about it in his Telegram-channel.
Perhaps, this monotony will somewhat dilute March, in which cooling is not excluded. But for now, the city will enjoy very high temperatures for late February. Weak south and southeast winds will continue for the rest of the week.
In the history of observations, the warmest day of 27 February was in 1989 with a temperature of plus 11 degrees Celsius. The coldest was recorded in 1942 - 24 degrees of frost.
