A subsidiary of the German Bosch Group, BSKH Household Appliances in Peterhof, has begun laying off employees, TASS reports citing employees of the organization.

Anton Rassadin, head of the corporate communications department of BSH Household Appliances, also confirms this, noting a significant reduction in the need for personnel.

The manager also assures that the Russian employees will be helped to find new vacancies in Russia and abroad.

The Labor and Employment Committee of St. Petersburg also responded to the news of job cuts, stating that only one person from the company applied to them at the moment.

Therefore, the city does not expect a serious increase in unemployment due to the dismissal of one enterprise.

And in case of further enterprise liquidation, the committee said that now the city's industry is in need of workers. And it is in the "blue-collar workers".

"If necessary, we are ready to retrain people who quit their jobs for free and find them jobs at new enterprises," assured the committee.

Earlier it became known that the German office of Bosch began looking for buyers for its Russian plants in St. Petersburg.
