Pulkovsky Park in St. Petersburg will receive its historical name

Pulkovsky Park in St. Petersburg will return its historical name. Until 2010, it was called the Park of Hero Cities. The park was founded in 1980.

Pulkovsky Park, located in the Moskovsky district of St. Petersburg, will get its historical name.

According to the project that appeared on the Smolny portal, it will be renamed into the Park of Hero Cities. Earlier the corresponding decision was adopted by the Toponymy Commission of St. Petersburg.

Now the document is under anti-corruption examination.

When the resolution comes into force, the Park of the Hero Cities will be in the list of public green spaces located in St. Petersburg, behind Golodaevsky Square in the list of public green spaces.

Meanwhile, we will remind, for the time being, Pulkovo Park was founded in 1980. Then it was called the park of Hero Cities. In 2010, the park was renamed, and it received its current name.
