Alexei Kolomin, a physical education teacher at school 322 in Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg, broke the world record for double jumping with a rope, which belonged to a U.S. citizen.
According to the record holder, he mastered the sport not so long ago, when he needed it for the learning process.
Kolomin told about his desire to break the world record in double jumping rope during a meeting with Anton Solovyov, a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Capital. Gym teacher asked the parliamentarian with organization and information support to try to jump over an American in one approach.
On Monday, January 23, Soloviev on his page in the social network "VKontakte" said that the record was taken. St. Petersburg teacher made 11,111 jumps. The previously set world record, which belonged to a U.S. citizen, was 10,709 jumps.
Kolomin replied that he trained hard. For six months he spent five hours each in the gym.
It is noted that this is not the first achievement of the PE teacher from school 322. He owns four world records, also six records were included in the Book of Records of Russia.
Now Kolomin has applied for inclusion of the record in the book "Interrecord".
