Residents of St. Petersburg will be paid for snow removal about a thousand rubles a day.
The Housing Committee of St. Petersburg reports that an experimental project - "janitor-sharing" is starting in the city this season.
Its essence is that during the snowfall local residents will be invoivled to clean the streets in the Northern capital, that allows everyone to participate in the cleaning of the streets and also earn.
According to the vice-governor Anatoly Poveliy, each assistant will receive about a thousand rubles for one day of work.
"Helpers of utility workers will take their remuneration according to the formula "work in the morning - money in the evening", - said Poveliy.
