The Committee on Environmental Management, Rospotrebnadzor, Rosprirodnadzor, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation and the prosecutor's office will join efforts to combat environmental pollution in the northern capital.
During the meeting, the group discussed the relevance of the problem of unpleasant smells that bother residents and guests of St. Petersburg. Experts said that almost all parts of the city are polluted, and most of all - the Nevsky district.
In July, the environmental service received about 100 calls with complaints from residents of the village Ust-Slavyanka. Experts note that this is a high indicator.
The created group plan to reduce the number of such appeals. This will be possible thanks to comprehensive inspections organized by joint efforts of different departments.
