European coronavirus vaccine to be tested on Russians

Testing on volunteers will be held in Moscow and St. Petereburg. The British-Swedish company AstraZeneca, together with scientists from the University of Oxford, has completed the development of a vaccine against coronavirus.

Now, according to the developers, it has to be tested on people. For that purpose, the company obtained a permit to conduct clinical trials in Russia from the Ministry of Health.

The main goal of testing will be to assess the safety of the drug. Tests of the new experimental vaccine will be held in St. Petersburg and Moscow, in which about 150 volunteers will take part.

We note that together with the European vaccine there is its Russian counterpart at the final stage of development. In September of the year, the Vector Center will complete all clinical trials of the coronavirus vaccine.
