In St. Petersburg they will give free drugs for COVID-19 treatment at home

Since November 23, St. Petersburg will begin to give free medicines for COVID patients who are treated at home.

Free drugs for St. Petersburg patients who are being treated for a new coronavirus infection at home will be given from the beginning of next week, as stated by Andrei Sarana, First Deputy Chairman of the City Health Committee, during a press conference.

Earlier, 203 million rubles were allocated from the federal treasury for these purposes. According to the official, the drugs are planned to be issued on the first day after the examination without PCR testing - if there are signs of ARVI or if the patient was in contact with those infected. Free medicines are also supposed for those who have been discharged from hospitals home for treatment.
