In the meantime, specialists are monitoring the weather on a daily basis.
Due to unexpectedly warm weather in St. Petersburg, the city authorities have decided to postpone the start of the heating season to a later date. According to RIA Novosti, Stanislav Protasov, chairman of the city's Committee for Energy and Engineering, said that they plan to start periodic heating and regular heating no sooner than the end of September.
Protasov noted that the daily weather forecast is currently being monitored jointly with Rosgidromet to determine the exact date of the heating season start. This approach will avoid unnecessary costs for heating city buildings, while temperatures remain at a relatively high level.
Recall that earlier in St. Petersburg, Yevgeny Prigozhin's widow returned her maiden name.
