In recent days, temperatures in St. Petersburg have shown instability, but the city's chief forecaster, Alexander Kolesov, assures residents that there is no need to worry about cold weather. On the contrary, now is the period when, based on long-term observations, the Northern Capital is experiencing the warmest weather.

According to the data of a specialist, in the period from July 18 to July 24, the average daily air temperature should be +19.4 degrees. However, the greatest abnormal maximum is expected on July 21 and 22, when the average air temperature will reach +19.5 degrees. This, according to Kolesov, is the annual maximum for the period from 1991 to 2010.

The forecaster emphasizes that St. Petersburg is now in the period of the warmest weather according to long-term statistics. And, although a gradual decrease in temperature is expected starting July 25, he assures that it does not mean that the weather will become worse or too cool. Summer continues, and city residents can enjoy warm and pleasant days with temperatures around +20...+22 degrees Celsius. In addition, the warmth will be for a long time, assured the expert.

Recall that earlier in St. Petersburg at night an unknown person tried to blow up Sberbank ATMs.
