St. Petersburg authorities consider possible introduction of QR-codes better than lockdown

Smolny called the introduction of QR codes system preferable to lockdown.

On October 18 Kirill Soloveitchik, the head of the Committee on industrial policy stated at the session of the commission on industry, economy and entrepreneurship that possible introduction of QR codes in St. Petersburg is a much more soft measure than full lockdown.

"It's better to enter something by QR-codes than restrictive measures. We will maneuver, we will see. Now the situation is perceived calmly, but in fact it is turbulent. My task is to prevent a lockdown," said Soloveychik.

Earlier it was reported that the introduction of access by QR codes to cultural, sports and other events with the attendance of 75 people or more is being discussed in Smolny.
