The number of migrants expelled from St. Petersburg in 2023 increased 2.5 times

All deported migrants were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 18.8 of the CAO RF for violations of migration legislation

Over the past three years, the number of migrants in St. Petersburg who have violated the regime has increased 3.6 times. In 2023, compared to 2022 - one and a half times. Last year more than 3 thousand migrants were deported from the country, in 2021 the number of such persons did not exceed 1 thousand people. Migrants expelled from the country will not be able to enter Russia for five years.

On New Year's Eve, about 3 thousand migrants were also detained in St. Petersburg, 600 of them were in the country in violation of migration laws. In early January, district courts began to consider the cases, 27 people were found guilty of violating migration laws.
