Poor cleaning of roofs and facades of buildings from snow has led to the formation of a large number of dangerous icicles throughout St. Petersburg. A traumatic situation persists in the city.
Petersburgers are trying to reach out to Smolny in order to draw his attention to the situation in the city. The number of icicles affected by the fall increases every day. In addition, the townspeople are also injured due to icy conditions on the streets.
For example, on December 13, a woman from St. Petersburg, who suffered from an icicle that fell from the roof, was taken to the intensive care unit of the Mariinsky Hospital. Another victim of poor-quality roof cleaning was a sixty-year-old man who received an open head injury and a closed fracture of the cervical and thoracic spine.
Dangerous icicles threaten the safety and life of Petersburgers, which worries not only city residents, but also activists. Representatives of creative professions also express outrage. People's Artist of Russia Ivan Krasko considers the situation in St. Petersburg catastrophic, and the governor Alexander Beglov - "a dubious candidate for the city."
