Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Anatoly Poveliy identified the districts of the Northern capital, where the worst snow is cleaned.
In his opinion, the suburban areas of the Northern capital are now the best at cleaning snow, the situation is worse in the central districts.
Poveliy noted that the difficulty with the snow removal is now observed in the central districts, where the streets are narrow and also tightly parked, yards, wells. He also added that the city has no priority in cleaning paid parking zones, which were introduced in the central streets of St. Petersburg.
Cleaning half of the city is the responsibility of private companies. The authorities of St. Petersburg intend to use preventive measures to improve the situation. In particular, they will remind about penalties from the State Administrative and Technical Inspection or State Housing Inspection, in case of not cleaning territories and roofs from snow and ice.
Vladislav Voronkov, director "Interregional Development", the regional coordinator of the federal project "School of literate consumer" earlier said that a temporary ban on parking could improve the quality of utilities. The expert believes that motorists will be sympathetic to a temporary ban on stopping vehicles when they see the result.
